KEW GARDENS - The man accused of raping and then framing his ex-girlfriend for armed robberies on Long Island was found guilty on all counts today. A jury convicted Jerry Ramrattan on 11 charges, including rape, unlawful imprisonment, perjury and conspiracy, tampering with a witness and falsely reporting an incident. Prosecutors said Ramrattan tried to keep Seemona Sumasar from testifying against him in her rape case by framing her last year for several bogus Nassau County robberies. They say Ramrattan paid people to report that Sumasar had posed as a police officer, pulled them over and robbed them. The Far Rockaway mom spent nearly seven months in jail until an informant came forward and said that Sumasar had been set up. "Today, my life starts all over again," Sumasar said after the verdict was read. "I don't want to be bitter. What's done is done."

Ramrattan faces up to 25 years behind bars when he's sentenced in January. His family left the court today without speaking to reporters.
