According to reports, about 850 jobs will be moved to Florida and California to save money.

BETHPAGE - Northrop Grumman jobs are leaving Long Island.

Officials say at least 850 jobs will be shifted from Bethpage to plants in Florida and California in an effort to save money. The move will leave about 550 workers in the area.

More than 25,000 Long Islanders worked for Grumman during its heyday back in the 1980s.
