HUNTINGTON - The Huntington Harbor Lighthouse has been guiding boats and vessels for 100 years, but now the historic structure's fate is uncertain. The Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society is trying to raise $250,000 to qualify for a matching state grant. Increased boat traffic has caused the large boulders, known as rip-rap, to shift underneath the lighthouse, undermining the stability of its foundation. There will a celebration on June 16, the actual 100th anniversary of the lighthouse. For more information, visit HuntingtonLighthouse.org
