GREAT NECK ESTATES - Another Long Island community may take steps to stop people from renting rooms for short stays on Airbnb.

Great Neck Estates is considering a ban on rentals shorter than 60 days on Airbnb and similar sites, according to Newsday.
Southold already limits short-term stays, as well as the Town of Islip.

A public hearing on the proposed ban in Great Neck Estates will be held May 9 at Village Hall.
