Glen Cove observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day with parade
GLEN COVE - Glen Cove celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day today with its annual parade and a special ceremony dedicated to destroying prejudice.
This year's parade featured a special dedication to Nelson Mandela, who died last month.
The parade ended at Finley Middle School, where a program was held. During the program, participants wrote down on cards different prejudices that they want to see eliminated.
