GLEN COVE - Worried parents addressed the hasty departure of the Glen Cove City School District superintendent at a meeting last night.

Superintendent Dr. Joseph Laria stepped down after allegedly allowing a 16-year-old to drive his car with two students as passengers.

The president of the Teachers' Association says she is "disturbed" by Laria's departure.

The school district is also in the middle of an investigation over allegations that teachers coached students for tests and altered Regents exams.
