TUCSON, Arizona - ? Doctors say Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is recovering and her condition has been downgraded from critical to serious after last week's shooting.
Giffords is no longer on a respirator, and her husband says she gave him a neck massage despite being in intensive care.
Meanwhile, Sen. Charles Schumer wants military and law enforcement officials to share information about ?disturbed? people like alleged shooter Jared Loughner. Loughner was rejected by the military because of drug use but somehow was allowed to buy a gun.
