Giants fans rushing to catch championship gear

MASSAPEQUA - Giants fans rushed to their sporting goods stores last night to pick up championship gear moments after the confetti started flying in Indianapolis.

At the Modell's in Massapequa, store representatives say shipments are coming in daily to feed an almost insatiable demand for Giants gear.

"Anything that says Giants on it is a hot item," says manager Chris Kwasnik.

Fans say they are looking forward to showing their Giants pride at the victory parade tomorrow in Manhattan.

And for fans who catered their Super Bowl parties from Smokin' Al's, the victory was smoky-sweet after owner Al Horowitz made good on his bet and picked up the tab for more than $60,000 in catering orders made for yesterday.
