Funeral to be held for ex-soldier from LI killed at Fort Hood

Dickinson's family tells News 12 his wake will be Saturday and Sunday.

Funeral arrangements have been set for the former soldier from Long Island shot and killed in Fort Hood, Texas over the weekend.

Army Sgt. Ryan Dickinson, 26, of Ronkonkoma, was gunned down during some sort of altercation at a barbecue at a home on the base in Texas, officials say.

Sgt. Brett Wessel is being held in connection with the incident.

Dickinson's family tells News 12 his wake will be Saturday and Sunday.

Dickinson will be buried at Calverton National Cemetery.
