MEDFORD - Family and friends will say goodbye this week to a 21-year-old Medford mother who was found dead.
Sarah Goode's body was discovered by a search party last Thursday about a half-mile from her abandoned car along Fire Avenue.
Police say Goode was the victim of a homicide, but they have not yet released the cause of death. Witnesses say she was wearing flip flops and her body was in disarray.
Viewings are being held tomorrow and Wednesday at Mangano Funeral Home in Middle Island. The funeral will be held Thursday, and News 12 Long Island has learned the funeral home is picking up the costs.
A fund has also been set up for Goode's 4-year-old daughter, Jocelyn. So far, more than $31,000 has been raised.
A memorial for Goode has been growing at the site where her car was found.
Some Medford residents say they are a little on edge because a suspect has not been named and no arrests have been made.
