WESTHAMPTON BEACH - Funeral services were held for a husband and wife killed in the horrific crash over the weekend on the Long Island Expressway.

The service was held for Helen and Isidore Adelson at the Hampton Synagogue.

The Westhampton Beach couple was on their way to a wedding in New Jersey when their car was hit Sunday morning.

Isidore Adelson, 81, passed away at a hospital later that day. His wife Helen died from her injuries Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday, a funeral service was held for Scott Martella in Dix Hills. Martella, who grew up in Smithtown, was Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone's communications director.  He was also a former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The 29-year old's fiancée was in the car with him and some believe his quick thinking saved her life.
