A funeral was held today for a young man killed in a horrific crash on the LIE service road.Cops say 18-year-old Akash James was killed

HEMPSTEAD - A funeral was held today for a young man killed in a horrific crash on the LIE service road.

Cops say 18-year-old Akash James was killed Friday night.

Police say the Floral Park High School senior crashed into the back of a postal truck while it was stopped at a light on the south service road at Route 106.

Funeral services for James were held this morning at St. Mary's Syro Malabar Church in West Hempstead.
