HEMPSTEAD - ? A Hempstead church damaged by this week's rain is in need of some help. The Tabernacle of God suffered about $22,000 worth of damage.

According to Newsday, a fundraiser will be held on Friday to help cover the losses and find a new place to worship. The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Percy Jackson Youth Center on South Franklin Street. Hempstead church, senior center damaged from heavy rain
