Fun art programs for Long Island children

Research shows children who participate in art projects and programs do better in school. (2/18/13)

WOODBURY - For generations this week has been a break from school for most children on Long Island, however, Hurricane Sandy washed that away this year.

News 12 Long Island's Carol Silva went out to find other ways for children to still have fun this week.

Not Just Art in Oyster Bay offers classes for young experimental artists six days a week. Children can take part in art projects ranging from painting and sculpting to jewelry making.
