BOHEMIA - Fire officials said a Crown Petroleum tractor-trailer holding 9,600 gallons of gasoline overturned today on the south service road of Sunrise Highway in Bohemia.Hundreds of gallons of fuel spilled into two storm drains while emergency crews worked to plug a gash in the truck. Officials said there were fumes emanating from the two storm drains.

Fire crews are working along with the Department of Environmental Conservation to vacuum up fuel that spilled into the drains.

Fire trucks that spray foam were called in from Long Island MacArthur Airport as a precaution.
