HICKSVILLE - Long Islanders are feeling powerless as they continue to live without heat and electricity for more than a week. Some Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) customers got their power back following Sandy, only to have it knocked out again by yesterday's nor'easter, while others say their power has yet to be restored at all. LIPA officials say Sandy-related outages are the company's priority. But LIPA Vice President Nicolas Lizanich says the utility may make an exception if a newer outage is large enough. Meanwhile, customers continue to complain about lack of information and phone lines that are constantly busy.LIPA: Nor'easter set us back a few days
