The foundation issued a statement this morning following a strong public backlash.
?We want to apologize to the American public for recent decisions that cast doubt upon our commitment to our mission of saving women's lives,? the foundation said.
Congress is investigating Planned Parenthood to determine if public money was improperly spent on abortions.
