FORT SALONGA - A Fort Salonga man is accused of trapping his neighbor's cats, then releasing them at Sunken Meadow Park.

Edward Foley allegedly told police he trapped the cats because they were sleeping on cushions on his front porch and leaving cat hair.

Cops say one cat was trapped late February and the other this month. Both cats were released at Sunken Meadow State Park.

Officials say neither of the cats has been found.

Foley faces animal abandonment charges.
