Forensic psychologist examines case on Gilgo Beach bodies

GILGO BEACH - After a fifth body was found near Gilgo Beach earlier this week, a forensic psychologist is providing his opinion on the case.

As News 12 has reported, back in December cops found the bodies of four online escorts dumped along Ocean Parkway. Police have since been investigating whether the five deaths are connected.

Dr. Roy Aranda says that serial killing is extremely rare, but adds that whoever is behind the killings likely lives or works nearby. ?The killer is comfortable in that particular area, is used to it, familiar, feels safe, perhaps maybe is known in the area," he said.

Aranda also warns that anyone who uses internet sites to meet potential dates should take extra caution.
