FLORAL PARK - Nassau County residents living near LaGuardia and JFK say they're sick of all the noise from low-flying planes and are asking lawmakers to step in.

Floral Park residents say the situation has gotten worse since 2011 when the two airports changed some flight plans that were supposed to help the situation. They say they want to act now and get the ball rolling on progress.

State lawmakers are calling on the Port Authority to undertake a study that would analyze these airports and the impact that they’re having on local communities.
