MANORVILLE - Firefighters are continuing to search for the last remaining hot spots after the brush fire was extinguished.

Firefighters with the Westhampton Beach Fire Department spent much of the afternoon on heavy-duty all-terrain vehicles called "Stump Jumpers" looking for any remaining hot spots.

Richard Reynor of the Westhampton Beach Fire Department says that a small ember could ignite the unburned tree tops and coupled with the winds could re-ignite the brush fire.
