MANORVILLE - Fire crews and other emergency responders have set up a command post at a Manorville church, not far from where a massive wildfire is still burning.Crews are congregating in the parking lot of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, to rest and regroup tonight. Suffolk Executive Steve Bellone says the aim tonight is to contain the fire, and tomorrow crews will get back to trying to extinguish it. More than 100 fire departments responded today to the flames, which broke out on the north side of the Brookhaven National Lab property. The fire was carried by strong gusts all the way to parts of Manorville.Some Manorville residents who were evacuated were also at the church this evening, although the officially designated emergency shelter is the Riverhead Senior Center, located at 60 Shade Tree Lane in Aquebogue.Watch News 12 LIVEEvacuation InformationSuffolk Exec.
