Officials say eight departments battled a blaze this morning inside a two-story building in Freeport.

The fire broke out at a building located on East Merrick Road near South Main Street around 6:15 a.m.

Officials tell News 12 the building is full of businesses and apartments.

Fire officials say no one was hurt.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
