WOODBURY - Long Islanders whose homes were damaged during Superstorm Sandy have until Monday to apply for a federal program.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency's STEP Program makes basic repairs to damaged homes.

Through the program, workers repair meters, put tarps on damaged roofs and perform some electrical work.
