Father of Toms River child who fatally shot playmate Brandon Holt charged in death
TOMS RIVER - Authorities say the father of a 4-year-old boy who shot and fatally wounded his 6-year-old playmate has been arrested and charged with having weapons accessible to children.
Anthony Senatore was arrested at around 6:30 p.m. Monday by detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Authorities say Senatore's son took a .22-caliber rifle from a bedroom and fired a single shot that fatally injured neighbor Brandon Holt.

In addition to the rifle, four shotguns were also found in close proximity to ammunition and accessible to Senatore's three children, ages 12, 8 and 4.
The 33-year-old father has been charged with five counts of having multiple unsecured weapons accessible to children. Each count carries five to 10 years of jail time. He was released from Ocean County Jail after posting $100,000 bail.
Members of the community say this tragedy is an eye opener for all parents to ask questions about firearms in the home.
Senatore's lawyer is expected to hold a press conference Wednesday morning.
