RIVERHEAD - A medical examiner says a Suffolk County inmate with a tracheal tube died because his tube was blocked by mucous.

Arthur Thomas, 22, of Mastic, died in June at the Suffolk County Jail. His family is suing the county for $250 million because they claim the tube was not being cleaned regularly by medical staff.The New York State Commission of Correction is currently investigating Thomas' death.
