LAKE RONKONKOMA - Hundreds gathered in Lake Ronkonkoma tonight to pay their respects to fallen New York City firefighter Lt. Richard Nappi.

The Farmingville father of two died of an apparent heart attack after battling a warehouse fire in Brooklyn on Monday.

Flags at firehouses across Long Island were flying at half staff this morning in honor of the 17-year FDNY veteran.

A second wake for Lt. Nappi will be held at Maloney's Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma tomorrow. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday morning at The Church of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Lake Ronkonkoma.
