MEDFORD - Families and community members honored the victims of the Medford pharmacy massacre that took place two years ago on Sunday.

Brian Scheffield and his family went to Haven Drugs in Medford to lay down flowers and a card in memory of his father, who lost his life in the shooting.

Scheffield says the shooting has caused pharmacies to increase security, and brought to light the prescription painkiller problems on Long Island.

Two years ago, 33-year-old David Laffer shot and killed four people as he robbed the pharmacy of thousands of pills. Laffer is now serving life in jail. His wife, Melinda Brady, is serving 25 years for helping Laffer plan the robbery and driving the getaway car.
