MASSAPEQUA - ? Officials say the extreme cold caused big problems during a house fire in Massapequa early this morning.

Fire officials say the fire engulfed the vacant waterfront home on Forest Avenue just after midnight.

It was so cold that firefighters say at least two hydrants were frozen by the home, so they had to find other hydrants that were not frozen.

Fire officials say the blaze is not suspicious but the cause is still unknown.
