BROOKHAVEN - An explosive scare was reported earlier today at Brookhaven National Lab.

News 12 Long Island has learned an employee found a box labeled U.S. Department of Transportation "Explosive C" this morning.

The Lab removed the box with the devices and called police. Officials say the box contained small industrial detonators.

Brookhaven and Suffolk County police are now investigating as to who the detonators belong to.
