Ex-owner of abused pit bull sentenced to 1 year behind bars

As News 12 reported, Lee Hughes pleaded guilty for his role in the abuse and was sentenced to one year in jail.

WOODBURY - The former owner of the abused pit bull known as Miss Harper was sentenced today.

As News 12 reported, Lee Hughes pleaded guilty for his role in the abuse and was sentenced to one year in jail.

Miss Harper was found in 2013 with her ears and part of her leg cut off.

Hughes must also register as an animal abuser and can't own an animal for five years.
