Ex-Nassau jail guard gets 22 years in deadly shooting spree

MINEOLA - A former Nassau County jail guard has been sentenced to 22 years to life behind bars for killing her ex-girlfriend and uncle during a June 2010 shooting spree.

Kim Wolfe's former girlfriend, 45-year-old nurse's aide Stacie Williams, was gunned down outside the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

As News 12 Long Island has previously reported, Wolfe also wounded her 88-year-old grandfather and took her niece hostage following a dispute over life insurance.

Williams' sister, Patricia Bines, insists there was no relationship between her and Wolfe. She claims the former jail guard was stalking Williams.

During her sentencing, Wolfe read a letter apologizing for her actions, saying she wishes she could bring back her uncle and Stacie Williams.

The judge requested that Wolfe be continually denied parole, but Williams' family says 22 years is still not enough.

Wolfe changed her plea to guilty in September. She'll likely be kept in protective custody and not with other inmates because of her former job as a corrections officer.
