Hyperloop, which was unveiled yesterday, is a high-tech mode of transportation that would use tubes that speed through tunnels at around 800 mph. The pods would be propelled by and float on a cushion of air.
Elon Musk, the founder of Hyperloop, claims a 400-mile journey from Los Angeles to San Francisco would only take a half-hour. He says his idea is an alternative idea to high-speed rail and air travel options.
