Eric Albrecht, 16, suffers non-life threatening injuries after being hit by train in Center Moriches

MTA police say Eric Albrecht was trespassing on the tracks near Frowein Road and Chichester Avenue around 1 p.m. yesterday.

Officials say the teen was wearing earphones and didn't realize the train was coming when he was struck.

CENTER MORICHES - Police say an East Moriches teen is alive after being hit by a train in Center Moriches.

MTA police say Eric Albrecht was trespassing on the tracks near Frowein Road and Chichester Avenue around 1 p.m. yesterday when the incident happened.

The 16-year-old was struck by an eastbound train, and police say he was wearing headphones and didn't realize a train was coming.

Albrecht escaped with non-life threatening injuries.
