ELWOOD - ? This morning, the Elwood Union Free School District is apologizing for failing to notify police about a bomb threat. The incident happened at the Elwood Middle School Monday afternoon.Officials say the building was evacuated after a staff member discovered a threat scrawled on the bathroom wall. Police were notified hours later by a parent and not the school. The district tells News 12 Long Island, ?We regret not contacting police to alert them to this issue, and extend our apologies to any of our community members who became needlessly concerned as a result.?
