LONG BEACH - An 85-year-old woman from Long Beach says she was strip searched at John F. Kennedy International Airport after refusing to go through the body scanner because she has a pacemaker.

Lenore Zimmerman says Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents took down her pants and underwear during the search.

The TSA says agents followed proper procedure. They say "while we regret this passenger feels she had this unpleasant experience, TSA does not conduct strip searches and one was not conducted in this instance."

According to the TSA, it reviewed closed-circuit video at the airport that shows proper procedures were followed before and after the screening.
