GREAT NECK - Cops say a lottery scam targeted an older Great Neck man.
Police say someone called the 87-year-old man and said he had won the lottery but had to send $40,000 in checks and money grams to collect the jackpot.
Officials say the man was not a winner and a 65-year-old upstate woman was arrested for her involvement in the scam. Investigators tell News 12 Long Island, the woman had been scammed out of money and agreed to scam the Great Neck man to get her money back.
Cops say more arrests are expected in the case.
