Elderly couple tied up, robbed in armed home invasion on Lakeview Drive in Hewlett

The suspects tied up the couple and got away with money and jewelry. (March 10, 2013)

HEWLETT - Investigators say an elderly couple was terrorized during an armed home invasion in Hewlett last night after masked men forced their way in.

Authorities say a 73-year-old homeowner was opening his garage door when two masked men armed with a gun forced him inside his house.

The suspects tied up the man and his wife in the master bedroom. Police say they fled with cash and jewelry.
