EAST SETAUKET - The search is resuming this morning for an East Setauket doctor who never returned from a Labor Day fishing trip.

State Park police say Jerome Nadler, 76, went fishing at Caleb Smith State Park in Smithtown on Monday and then vanished. The state PBA says the search was called off at dark on Monday and then again after 5 p.m. yesterday. However, the union says they should pay overtime to continue the search through the night.

A state parks spokesman says they have put "substantial resources" into the search with help from Suffolk Police. Police: Setauket man missing after fishing trip
