East Meadow fireworks show draws thousands of spectators

EAST MEADOW - Parking spots filled up fast for the free concert and fireworks show in East Meadow Saturday night.

Traffic was tied up on Merrick Avenue as revelers were forced to park in nearby lots and walk into the park.

News 12 Long Island also received multiple calls from people complaining that there were not enough handicapped parking spots available.

There are many more Fourth of July events planned throughout Long Island over the weekend.
