East End winery owner, Marco Borghese, dies in Wading River crash

Marco Borghese, 70, of Cutchogue, was driving his jeep Eastbound on Route 25A, just west of Dogwood Drive, yesterday afternoon when the accident occurred. (7/1/14)

WADING RIVER - Police say the owner of an East End winery has died after colliding head on with a box truck in Wading River.   

Marco Borghese, 70, of Cutchogue, was driving his jeep eastbound on Route 25A, just west of Dogwood Drive, yesterday afternoon when the incident occurred. 

Police say Borghese failed to navigate a curve in the road and crashed into a truck.

The two men inside the truck were not hurt.

Borghese, the owner of Borghese Vineyard,  died shortly after the crash.
