SOUTHHAMPTON - A day after the storm, East End residents are still digging out and say plowing efforts have been lackluster.

Residents who live in the Village of Southampton say street after street is still covered with a coating of snow or slippery ice.

In Riverhead, officials say at least three motorists got stuck on Northville Turnpike between County Road 58 and 105 before 5:30 a.m. as snow blew back onto the roadway.

Residents told News 12 Long Island the snow was blowing off the fields so badly that they could not see through their windshield.
