E. Patchogue beach vandalized over holiday weekend
EAST PATCHOGUE - An East Patchogue beach was damaged over the holiday weekend and residents claim it is due to illegal fireworks.
A dock was damaged at Miramar Beach in East Patchogue, and residents say they noticed the destruction early yesterday morning.
Fireworks remnants were found in a garbage can nearby.

The president of the Miramar Beach Civic Association says vandalism is a regular problem.
The Town of Brookhaven tells News 12 it's looking at a plan to install security cameras at area beaches.
