E/B LIE lanes reopened after truck crash near exit 40

The eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway have been reopened near exit 40 after a truck carrying plywood overturned.

WOODBURY - The eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway have been reopened near exit 40 after a truck carrying plywood overturned.

Traffic was backed up for miles following the accident.

It remains unclear how the accident happened.

No injuries have been reported.
