BETHPAGE - A decade ago, Dontrelle Willis was the National League’s “Rookie of the Year” and won the World Series. Today, he is known as the D-Train and pitches for the Long Island Ducks.

Willis was Rookie of the Year in 2003 and won 22 games in 2005. He is one of many former big league stars that have been on the Ducks’ roster, including Juan Gonzalez, Carlos Baerga and Armando Benitez.

Willis tells News 12 he isn't interested in sharing stories with his teammates about his glory years. He says he teaches from failure more so than success.
