Drunken driver gets 6-19 years in crash that killed cop

NORTH BABYLON - A Brooklyn man was sentenced today to six to 19 years for killing an NYPD officer from LI in a drunken driving wrong-way crash.

Michael Bowen pleaded guilty last month in the death of NYPD Officer Andrew Menzies, of North Babylon.

Bowen crashed into a car driven by Menzies while driving the wrong way on the Northern State Parkway in Dix Hills two years ago. Bowen's attorney says his client is truly remorseful.
