MINEOLA - The first drug conviction has been tossed out in Nassau because of faulty testing at the county's police crime lab. Khurram Shahzad's 2010 cocaine possession was thrown out yesterday. The judge said the jury had a right to know about testing inaccuracies at Nassau's now-shuttered crime lab, according to Newsday. Two drunken driving convictions have already been dismissed because of questionable lab results.
