HUNTINGTON STATION - All across Long Island, hundreds of drivers coping with the fuel shortage in the region are waiting on long lines for gas.

At the USA Gas Station on New York Avenue in Huntington Station, a line of cars stretched about a mile down the road, while at least 100 people carrying gas cans stood on line. Gas at the station is $4.25 per gallon, though the owner is capping purchases at ten gallons.

People waiting on line say they're trying to remain patient.
