DIX HILLS - The two people killed in a wrong-way crash on the Northern State Parkway Tuesday have been identified.

Police say they pulled over Brittany Vella, 25, of Middle Island, on suspicion of DWI in a possibly stolen vehicle. Authorities say she fled the traffic stop and traveled westbound on Motor Parkway.

She then entered the eastbound lanes of the Northern State Parkway traveling westbound.

Police say Vella collided her Dodge Durango into a Honda Accord driven by Sarwan NN, 60, of Smithtown.

Both drivers died in the crash.
