SAYVILLE - Some drivers are criticizing a Sayville gas station, claiming its signs for the price of gas are intentionally misleading.

A Citgo gas station in Sayville is offering gas for $3.85 per gallon, but it is only offering that price to those who also purchase a $24 car wash.

Suffolk Consumer Affairs Commissioner Cliff Coleman says the signs are not big enough or clear enough for drivers to see and he is getting involved to change that.

The owner of the gas station says he is not being deceptive because there is a big sign at the pumps that say, "50 cents off gas with a car wash."

Meanwhile, other customers say they are driving long distances just to take advantage of the low price.
